Newport Art Museum

Founded in 1912 by a group of prominent artists, it is housed in the John Griswold house (1864), designed by Richard Morris Hunt, the architect of many Newport mansions in the Stick Style, and in the Cushing Memorial Gallery (1921). Changing exhibitions of contemporary and historical art of Newport and Southeastern New England. The museum offers art classes, lectures, tours, performing arts events, and evening summer picnics.
